Playing for AIFC

We believe that playing regular competitive matches is vital in the development of young footballers. From our academy, players are selected to represent AIFC at either Under 10 or Under 12 level.

• Regular matches are scheduled against the best other local teams on days and times that don’t interfere with the NRF schedule.

• Teams compete in local tournaments on a regular basis.

• Teams are made up of the best players that fit into the age group, often this means players play up to compete at a higher level.

• Each game is recorded using VEO technology, the videos are shared with the players and their families and analysis discussed in player reviews, and zoom sessions.

• Teams take part in the Auckland International Cup which is played once a year in Auckland and includes professional academy and youth teams from around the world.

• Teams also take part in competitions in other parts of the world, in July 2025 our Under 12 team will travel to Korea to take part in the prestigious JS Cup.
